Penguin Random House Supports Uncensored Press

This entry was posted on 22 July 2016.
Penguin Random House South Africa wants to reiterate its complete support for a free, uncensored press in South Africa.

Any attempt to silence journalists should be exposed and prevented. For a society to flourish, it needs the open and free expression of ideas and debate within that society’s legal framework. The recent dismissals of the SABC8 is a matter of deep concern to us.  We condemn it, declare our support for the journalists concerned and have donated to the support fund for the dismissed journalists.
