Robert Winston Science Squad Explains

Lord Robert Winston is one of Britain's best-known scientists. As Emeritus Professor of Fertility Studies at Imperial College, London, and an active researcher in reproductive physiology, he has made advances in fertility medicine and is a leading voice in the debate on embryo research and genetic engineering. His television series, which include Your Life in Their Hands, Making Babies, The Human Body, Child of Our Time, Human Instinct, The Story of God and A Child Against All Odds, have made him a household name. He became a life peer in 1995, and is the founder of the charity Women for Women.

Steve Setford has over 30 years' experience as an editor and author of highly-illustrated non-fiction books. He specialises in writing science, technology, and natural history titles for children. Steve was a contributor to Robert Winston's Ask A Scientist (2019).

Trent Kirkpatrick is an elementary science teacher who has been working in New York City public schools for more than a decade. In that time, he has received specialised training in STEM education, science pedagogy, Maker Space, Phenomenon-Based Science Inquiry and the Next Generation Science Standards. He was an educational consultant on DK's Science Squad/The STEAM Team.
