PAULA HAWKINS worked as a journalist for fifteen years before writing her first novel. Born and brought up in Zimbabwe, she moved to London in 1989. India Fisher is possibly best known as the voice of MasterChef, but she is also an extremely versatile comedy and character actress. She was a regular contributor for Dead Ringers, and has guest starred in Peep Show and Doctors amongst others, and is also very much at home on the stage, most recently playing Joan Sims in Stop Messing About.

Louise Brealey is best known for her role playing Benedict Cumberbatch’s hapless aid, Molly Hooper, in BBC’s Sherlock. Her other TV appearances include the student nurse Roxanne Bird in Casualty, and Judy Smallweed in Bleak House.
