Their entire careers have been spent in the formal conservation sector where they have made significant contributions to the understanding and protection of this remarkable biome. At present, they work in the Biodiversity Management Branch of the City of Cape Town's Environmental Management Department, where Cliff leads the Conservation Services Unit.
