Bookey Peek

Bookey Peek

Bookey Peek's family lived on Stone Hills Wildlife Sanctuary in the Matobo Hills for many years. They raised and rehabilitated numerous different animals, from birds to badgers, but unless they were unable to fend for themselves, every one of them was returned to live out their lives on the 6.500 unspoiled acres of granite koppies they called home. Her husband Richard is a professional photographer and together with their four books, and the latest, a children's book, called Mad Monkey and the Wildfire, they have tried to capture the spirit and the magic of this beautiful place, and to record their memories of the animals with whom they shared their lives.
