Monique Fallows

Monique Fallows

Monique, alongside her husband, Chris, has worked with great white sharks at Seal Island in Cape Town, South Africa for 22 years as eco-tourism operators, photographers and field researchers. Their work with Discovery Channel film crews has also given opportunity to work with great white sharks at all great white shark hot spots around the world such as New Zealand, California, Mexico and the entire South African coastline. In addition to this, Monique spends roughly 50 days per year in the wilds of Africa photographing the continent’s most iconic species, as well as having visited all seven continents.
Monique’s extensive work in the field has created in her a deep commitment to inspire future generations to protect these fragile environments. In this endeavour she has authored two children’s books to highlight the importance of conserving eco systems. Uniquely, Monique and Chris’s dogs, Sandi, Lucy and Brownie, accompany the Fallows to sea each day encountering many iconic species of wildlife along the way. It is through the eyes of her dogs that she introduces young readers to these incredible animals and the important role each plays in keeping eco systems functioning.
