With years of experience in teaching children who have difficulties with reading, spelling, and learning, José Palmer and Reinette Lombard teamed up with Gugu Nkosi and Ntokozo Mkize-Mthembu for this isiZulu series. Ntokozo Mkhize-Mthembu is a lecturer at UKZN where she completed her doctoral studies specialising in Teacher Development Studies.

Fanie Viljoen is one of the most loved and diverse writers in Afrikaans children’s and YA literature. He was awarded twice with the Sanlam Prize for Youth Literature, as well as the M.E.R. Prize. He has also won numerous ATKV Children’s Book Awards. His young adult novels Offers vir die vlieë (2019) and Ons laaste legendariese somer (2023) won the LAPA Youth Novel Competition.
