"Tippie doen wiskunde" bied 'n prettige en unieke manier om om geletterdheidsvaardighede te bemeester. Die Vlak 3 Wiskunde-reeks bou voort op die voorafgaande kennis van Vlak 2, wat verder die grondslag van wiskundige geletterdheid verbeter.
Vlak 3 bied kinders die geleentheid om verskeie vaardighede deu r spesifieke temas te leer en toe te pas.
"Tippie doen wiskunde" is progressief, en ons beveel aan dat daar vanaf Boek 1 gewerk word om retensie te verseker.
Die breë uitkomste vir hierdie reeks sluit getalle, bewerkings en verhoudings in.
Patrone, funksies en algebra, sowel as ruimte, vorm, meting en datahantering, word progressief aangebied.

Reinette Lombard has a Teaching and Honours Degree in Special needs education. Reinette specialised in Autism Spectrum Disorders and was mentored by Maggi Golding and subsequently became one of 12 Makaton tutors in SA, did TEACCH training with Maggi and worked and consulted for several NPO's to create ASD specific teacher, therapist and parent training. Reinette worked in both public and private school's as deputy principal, had a large remedial practise before taking a sabbatical to start a family. Reinette now owns and runs an educational consulting company that assists corporates to establish Specialised Educational services.
Together with Jose Palmer, they developed the acclaimed Tippie Learns to Read reading series and the Tippie Does Maths series for Grade R-3 learners and teachers. Tippie is a quadrilingual - speaking Afrikaans, English, isiXhosa and isiZulu! He can also do maths in both Afrikaans and English.
In close collaboration with Sally Goldman and Penny O'Toole, Reinette played a key role in shaping the Berlut Maths Grades 4-6 series. Sally and Penny developed the mathematical content, while Reinette conceptualised and structured the layout and directed the image selection and placement, establishing the series' cohesive visual identity.

From a young age, Ashleigh always knew she wanted to be a teacher. Having struggled with Maths as a child, she developed a deep understanding of how anxiety around the subject can affect a child’s confidence and love of school. Through dedicated teachers and new ways of learning, Ashleigh grew to not only overcome her challenges but to develop a lasting passion for Maths.
After qualifying in 2014 with a Bachelor of Education degree, specialising in High School Mathematics, she discovered that her true calling lay in the Foundation Phase. For the past eight years, she has taught Grade 1 and 2, working within a school that embraces the constructivist approach to learning. Seeing the need for child-centred, hands-on Maths resources inspired her to collaborate on the Tippie does Maths series. This was an opportunity to create meaningful, engaging learning experiences for young children.
