A new Dictionary edited by Robert Allen (former editor of the Oxford Concise and The Penguin Dictionary) targeted as a general purpose portable Dictionary - ideal for quick reference. Appendices to include easily confused words and frequently misspelled words.

This is the first book in a new series from Penguin. Designed to be portable and ideal for quick reference, the series will be called Penguin Pocket Reference. There is a companion thesaurus published in the same month.
