Michael Joseph is thrilled to announce that we will be publishing two books from Jamie Oliver in 2016. The first book will be around the subject of healthy eating for the family and the second title will be a long awaited Christmas book.
Brink biography by Leon de Kock to be published by Umuzi
A biography of the late André Brink written by Leon de Kock will be published in 2018 by Umuzi.
De Kock, who currently teaches at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, is a South African writer, translator, and academic who recently translated Brink’s letters to the poet Ingrid Jonker for the book Flame in the Snow.

7 Struik Lifestyle Titles Named Winners in South Africa in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards 2015
Struik Lifestyle, an imprint of Penguin Random House South Africa, has recently had seven of its titles named winners in South Africa in the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards for 2015. These titles now all qualify for the next ‘Gourmand Best in the World’ competition.

Tsitsi Dangarembga to produce a film of Imran Garda’s novel The Thunder That Roars
Tsitsi Dangarembga, well-known author of Nervous Conditions and founder and CEO of Nyerai Films, has optioned films rights to Imran Garda’s debut novel The Thunder That Roars. Dangarembga will supervise the adaptation and production of the film as creative producer. The company plan to begin principal photography as early as next year.
