Penguin Books SA is delighted to announce that John Carlin, author of Playing the Enemy (published by Atlantic Books, 2009), is to write the Oscar Pistorius Story.

The book will detail the rise and fall of Oscar Pistorius, with publication shortly after the trial ends.

Ravi Mirchandani, Editor-in-Chief of Atlantic Books, comments: “As a former South Africa correspondent for the Independent and as author of the international bestseller Playing The Enemy, John is the ideal writer to do justice to all the many issues surrounding the Oscar Pistorius case and trial. We’re delighted to be publishing his book and much look forward to working with him again.”

John Carlin’s Playing the Enemy was a No. 1 bestseller in South Africa, was shortlisted for the William Hill Award and adapted into the Clint Eastwood film Invictus, starring Matt Damon and Morgan Freeman. Carlin is also co-author of the official autobiography of Rafael Nadal. Atlantic’s editions of Playing the Enemy have sold over 100,000 copies.
